How Do I Start a Series?

So, you're ready to start a Series?

Follow a few easy steps and you're ready to begin!

You'll find that no matter if you want to clone, copy or '+ Series', at some point you'll come across the 'Edit Series' pop-up, allowing you to customize the branding and track enrollment/engagement of a Series through Invite Codes.

Use the descriptions and links for the numbered elements shown below to understand how to set up your Series:

Series Title - Identify the Series through Learner Groups!

Series are housed under a common Program. It may take just one, or possibly several, Series to address the various needs/user groups in an organization.

Different Series may be identified by their subject matter, aligned with different teams or need-to-know status of the players. They may differentiate time zones and regions, or represent different levels of difficulty, but every Series supports the singular Goal of the Program.  Name your Series according to who the Learner Groups are!

Series Description - Give your Series a brief description that addresses the importance of this segment in relation to the Goal of the Program and any distinctions in Learner Groups who are assigned this particular Series.

Series Invite Code - you can use Invite Codes for each Series as a tool for A/B testing to track where traffic is coming from, rates of enrollment by department, and gaps or positive trends in player engagement.

  • Example: maybe one Invite Code relates to Facebook; the other relates to LinkedIn. Your Dashboard shows you which Invite Code a user typed in to access your Series… and it may turn out that more people are coming from one source over another.

To add additional Invite Codes to a Series, just let us know through the Support Button or ask your Success Coach; we’ll check availability for you and apply it for you.

Series Warm Up Game - Warm-Up Games do just what they say - They get the energy and excitement up and generate buzz around the organization. Competitive players get a sneak peek at a Challenge before they play,  while less confident players, who may have concerns about the level of difficulty or demands on their time, can see just how simple and quick a Challenge is.

For more info on Warm Up Games including, its own FAQ's, use the link at the beginning of the section or just click here.

Series Icon - Series ICONS must be 256px x 256px

Use this Canva tutorial to create stunning images for your Series! Just remember to 'Make A Copy' under the 'File' tab first!

Note: Notice how BIG the number is? That's because the icon appears VERY small in the app timeline.  Make sure your design is SIMPLE and BIG, so it shows up on very small screens.
