Creating Icons for Series and Challenges
Icons are what your Player sees in the App when they join a Series or Challenge. While they only occupy a small portion of the screen, they are what differentiates one Challenge or Series from another, so it's important to make them distinct. You can make your icons distinct by giving them a similar theme but a slightly different color or different iconography!
Icons Best Practices
Keep it Chunky!
Large and in-charge "chunky" images will be easy visible to your Players
No Text Needed
Text is redundant because the Title appears right next to the icon.
Same but Different!
Keeping the icons similar but changing one element, such as a color, will read as distinct enough for your Players to distinguish between Challenges.
